Stellar service! I cannot say enough about how professional they are. They sat down with me, explained all details, worked with my insurance company, explained the timing and details of acquiring a rental car, kept to the timeline, and when I came to pick it up it looked amazing - clean, polished, vacuumed and the work was above and beyond requirements. I could not be happier with this experience. I will be recommending them to all my friends and family.

The bottom two reviews are bogus. I took in my 2004 Tundra after my dad back it into the garage, doing $1500 in damage to the truck. I had stopped by a couple of places to get prices, and I found that American had a good price and also came recommended by a neighbor who had their car repaired there. The paint job and body work was absolutely second to none and looked better than I could have imagined. Jason also took it upon himself to make the front bumper perfect which had bug damage from the love bugs in Florida. The truck came back looking new. When I sold the truck last year, the gentleman that bought it had retired from the auto body repair business. After looking over the truck and prior to buying it, he had commented that it was one of the best repairs that he had seen. The repair was quick, timely and well priced. Thank you guys...and I stress to you not to listen to a couple of complaining obnoxious snowbirds that you see below. You will not be disappointed with the quality of the work.

I brought my car in for repairs following an accident. They completed the repairs sooner than expect and I looked brand new again. The customer service from all staff I encountered was excellent and all were very helpful with the process. I would definitely go back and recommend them to everyone.

I am from out of state and was in an accident. Jason was able to fit me in and repair enough so it was drivable and I was able to get back home. I was highly pleased with them able to keep to my time table and the repair was excellently done. Highly recommend.

Today was my appointment for the estimate on the hurricane damage repairs. Jason was thorough with the inspection. My Ford Econoline Van has been repaired at this shop before when an electric pole fell on it.... and it was a great job. This time, Hurricane Ian tore it up...

Used American Auto body to repair front end damage on my 2001 Mustang Cobra. My car was in perfect condition before someone did a hit and run. When I got the car back it looked brand new. I keep going outside to look at it as the job was unbelievable. The price was more then reasonable, the scheduling and service Professional and the results just plain excellent. I attached pictures I am not a photographer they’re the best I could do I assure you the don’t do the work or the car justice.

Insurance company recommended for collision repair. Took a while to get an appointment, but once in they were very professional, good communication, and the car looked like new when I got it back.

Great people and good, quick service

Unfortunately, my 2009 Mercury Mariner was in an accident. Referred by my insurance company "Progressive", I dropped it off at American Auto Body after they had ordered all parts needed to repair. They had to replace the whole front end, plus hidden damages underneath. I took it in on a Monday & was told it would be done Friday. They called Thursday afternoon to let me know it was ready for me to pick it up! WOW, BEAUTIFUL job they did. I'm totally impressed & THANK YOU to all who worked on my vehicle, it looks brand new!!!!!!! GREAT job to all at American Auto Body. And I thank Josh, my adjuster with Progressive for referring me to this body shop & handling my claim professionally & and on a timely manner. I'M HAPPY with the results!!!!!!!!!!!

I was rear ended in a hit & run and my insurance company recommended American Auto Body. I’m so glad we chose them! It was such a stressful situation for me but they were wonderful from start to finish. They took their time to explain everything, answered all my questions, and got my van in quickly. They communicated everything, how the process was going & how long it would take. When an issue arose later, they immediately took care of it and went above & beyond. They’ve been nothing but friendly and professional. My van looked brand new when they were finished. Hopefully we won’t need their services any time soon, but if we do, this is the only place we will go and recommend to others.

American Autobody did a fantastic job with repairing my car after I wrecked it. They communicated very well with me and went into detail how they were gonna fix my car. THEY CUT NO CORNERS!!! Just had my 4Runner worked on and I’m SO happy with the results! They even touched up other spots around the vehicle that weren’t in the quote — which ended up being less $$$ when completed and it was ready a day early! I just had my 2017 Altima repaired through insurance at this shop. They did a FANTASTIC job! They were not only professional, but had literally everything arranged for me upon drop off of my vehicle to pick up. The new rear bumper was replaced and the pearl white paint job is great! Years ago, my brand new 2012 Kia Forte was sideswiped in a parking lot just three weeks after I bought it. Figures, right? Well, I brought it to American auto body, referred through my insurance company, and they did a fantastic job fixing it. It is 2018 now, and you still cannot tell that the car had ever been in an accident. About a month ago I backed into a parking pole of some kind and really messed up the rear end of my wife’s 2007 Toyota Camry. I brought it to American auto body, was pleased with the reasonable estimate, and they made it look like a million bucks. I also had them re-finish the hood because the paint faded away from the Florida sun light. You cannot tell the difference in paint color between the fenders, bumper and the hood. Another fantastic job by American auto body, whom I would recommend to anyone.

Years ago I was in wreck and they completely renovated my BMW back to life. Today, I walked in and was greeted by a friendly face who helped me get a same day appointment for a scratch on my passenger door. I love how transparent this company is. Their rates are posted right when you walk in, so there are no surprises. As well as the great work that they do. Would definitely recommend!

They did a very nice job matching my metallic paint on my vehicle after I met with a power pole!!! My truck looks like new plus they detailed the cab! A really professional and courteous add on. Thank you for your hard work!!

Our car was rear ended and the responsible party had progressive insurance. They recommended American Auto Body, and I was happy with that, as I had already had a friend recommend them. Love this place. Brought my vehicle here for some auto body repair and they did AMAZING! Super friendly and they do great work. American Auto Body repaired and painted one door that was damaged by someone who hit my door when opened their's. Beautiful job! Replaced pin stripping and feathered paint to match paint on whole side of car. Super easy process, start to finish. They worked hand in hand with other drivers insurance Co. Would definitely go there again!

Two thumbs up to the entire staff at American Auto Body. My 2015 Altima was nearly totaled out and $10,000 worth of damage later...... they took care of me! I had my car back in literally 8 days. Phenomenal job guys and girls!!!! I have no idea how they exceeded my expectations! Especially coming from a very picky woman. Lol. The receptionist was very happy and helpful everytime we spoke , she kept me up to date the entire time. I highly recommend them.

There are some skills that are worth learning...patch a hole in the wall, wire a new switch, or change out a faucet, because you can master them and they will occur often enough for you to be able to do them yourself.Auto body repair is just not one of those.  You really don't expect you are going to need to do it, and you wouldn't have to do it often enough to get good at it.  That's my excuse and I'm stickin' to it.Jason and his crew at American Autobody are PROFESSIONALS! PLEASE DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!I found American Autobody the best way I knew how, I asked the owner of the muffler shop doing work on the car,  "where would you go..."    "American Autobody.....ask for Jason, he's the owner."   I found the muffler shop the same way, and those types of recommendations never disappoint.I would like to recommend that you stop in at American Autobody and talk to Jason, Vanessa, and Shane and see if you don't really get the feeling that "Yeah...this is where I want to bring my work, and these are the people I want to deal with."Great Job Crew!  I really enjoy seeing that shiny new paint every morning!Tom

The owner Jason is a great guy-- have had my stang there twice now for paint and bodywork. His crew is top notch and my car always comes back cleaner than when I had brought it to him. If you need any body repair work or paint work there is no better in the area of SWFL. Always have had my car back when he said it would be done.

They're very professional. Do great work and stand behind they're work 💯%. They break it down into simple language. Very friendly, too. I would recommend them to anyone. Have had 4 body repairs done there after wildlife hit my vehicles. Even after the last one, there was something a little off. Brought it back in and they went over it again. Found the problem and fixed it at no extra cost. They stand completely behind all their work. If you need any body work done and you're close to Port Charlotte, they are the best.

I was rear ended on 41 earlier this month. The insurance company, for the guy who hit, me sent me to American Auto Body for the body work. Everyone was fantastic - from the ladies in the front office, to Christian who looked over my SUV with me, to the individuals who did the repair work. The job was completed in the time frame that I was quoted and the bumper looks perfect!! Highly recommend them!

Took my wagoneer in for a repair/estimate that was handled quickly and professionally. They had to remove several parts to determine what was needed, and upon finding out there would be a backorder on parts, they called me since it was drivable and had my vehicle back together later that day so that I could pick it up and drop off my rental. Excellent customer service. Am returning today as they have my parts now and will update when completed. Picked up my vehicle and it was in mint condition. Excellent repair work. Can't tell there was ever any damage. Great detail work. Would recommend to anyone.
